Hello, Men!
We are excited to announce The Unshakable Man & Mountain Stream Healing – Basecamp Brotherhood – 2022 Men’s Retreat!
Dr. Christopher Spromberg & Chris Wilson invite you to step into 2 days of deep healing growth work, surrounded by nature, with a powerful group of open-hearted men.
This weekend is for you if you are seeking to:
- Get past feeling “stuck” in habits of the head, heart, or body
- Wrestle with whatever is blocking you from growing as a man
- Move beyond shallow relationships with yourself and others
- Begin the journey from being fragmented to being whole
- Know and be known, be part of a brotherhood of men
- Connect with nature and the sacred in the here and now
It might not be for everyone. It is for you if you are ready to…
- Take a deep look into your heart, your past, and face what you find
- Challenge yourself emotionally, physically, and spiritually
- Work through whatever is blocking you from becoming who you hope to be

What to expect at the Basecamp Brotherhood Retreat:
Come and disconnect from the bustle and routine of everyday life and explore nature and parts of yourself that haven’t had a chance to live, be, and feel in a long time. Be brave alongside other men. Try new things and stand at the edge of your comfort zone. Push yourself to grow, learn, and slow down in intentional ways as you move toward becoming an unshakable man.
The weekend will consist of intentional times and activities to facilitate bravery and growth through experiential activities, learning, group times, outdoor activities such as a ropes challenge course, hiking, camaraderie and laughs around a campfire. The great Montana wilderness offers many opportunities to get outside and play but also connect and grow. It is our hope that a man will leave the weekend feeling more confident in who he is as a man and more connected with his own experiences, the important relationships in his life, and with the natural world around him.
Where the retreat is held:
The weekend will be held in the foothills of the aptly named Paradise Valley, Montana, located minutes from the Yellowstone River and Yellowstone National Park. The rustic property is an older hunting lodge sitting at about 5960ft, tucked up into the hills of the Gallatin Mountain Range looking out onto the Absaroka Mountain Range. Men will stay in one of the rustic cabins around the property, each equipped with mattresses, bedding, heat, hot water, toilets, and baths/showers. Cabins sleep anywhere from 2-6 men. It is our intention that men embrace these arrangements allowing the brotherhood building time during the day to continue into cabin times.

Dr. Christopher Spromberg was raised in a small mill town in the beautiful PNW, but didn’t find his passion for psychology and exploring the great outdoors until later in life. He completed his bachelor’s degree majoring in psychology with a minor in sociology from Portland State University. He then worked in the field at an adolescent inpatient facility and an adult psychiatric hospital for a few years before returning to school. Christopher completed his dissertation exploring the physical relationship between masculinity and shame and earned his doctorate degree in clinical psychology from George Fox University in 2019. He currently lives and works at a hospital in Montana and remains passionate about spending time in the outdoors and helping men grow beyond what they thought they could.
Chris Wilson is a Men’s Wellness Coach and the director of The unshakable man brotherhood. He has significant training as a coach specializing in somatic breath-work.
